Take the N2 through Butterworth to Idutywa. Turn right to Willowvale. Upon exiting Willowvale (100 metres before the tar ends) turn left to Dwesa / King Hintsa's Grave. Pass "King Hinta's Grave 2km" turn-off and after 10km take the left turn to Elliotdale.
Follow the road through a pass over the Mbashe river until you reach a T-junction. Take a right turn to at a sign saying "The Havern" and follow the road and the signs to Haven Hotel. There is a 12km sign to The Haven Hotel at a fork in the road which may be confusing - keep right at this fork. Proceed along this road until you reach the gates at the perimeter of the reserve. Continue down this road for about 4 kms. The hotel's boom gate will become visible.
Go past Mthatha. Approximately 20 km after Mthatha (formerly Umtata) turn left to Mqanduli / Coffee Bay. Proceed over the level crossing towards Coffee Bay. Pass through Mqanduli after 23 km.
You will see a sign on your right hand side to the Haven Hotel. Turn right there and proceed to Elliotdale. From here there are signs to the Haven Hotel and Madulweni hospital. Follow these signs all the way to the hotel.
