
Mpofu, Xhosa for eland, is so named as the eland like to roam close to the lodge during the summer season. The area of Seymour is also known as Mpofu in the Xhosa language. Mpofu is a large lodge consisting of 6 bedrooms (of which 2 are en-suites), double toilets and bathrooms, and double lounges. It is spacious enough to accommodate 14 people. Intloni, which means Hedgehog, was formally an old farm homestead. It can accommodate 8 people. It has an en-suite room, a bedroom with a double bed and 2 beds for children. It stands 3km from the Port Retief (Fort Beaufort public road). Its seclusion makes it the perfect relaxing get-away. MORE
